The Tri-Lakes Community Alliance is devoted to supporting a thriving quality of life and culture in the North Warren community.  The Alliance is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization of volunteers in the towns of Chester and Horicon working together. Meetings are held every 2nd Friday of the month at 9am at The Panther Mountain Inn.

There are only two rules:

  1. Meetings last for only 1 hour
  2. Only 1 person speaks at a time

Minutes | September 11, 2024

Car Hop– Finished for the season! Will continue next year alternating between The Hub and The Crossroads. Raffle funds during the events going towards new electronic bulletin board. Donation of dirt bike went to auction to raise funds of $2,500 toward new electronic bulletin board.

Rum Runners Revival- Pick a location to host a Rum Runners event, possibly one evening and one location. If any businesses are interested in hosting a one-night event revival event please reach out to the Tri-Lakes Community Alliance! We would love to have a committee together and make this happen! 

Town of Chester Rotary 5k 10k Run September 21st 7:30am-12pm Looking for Volunteers for registration, water station, Contact Deb Eves from the Rotary to get involved! 2 Great Premium Raffle Items up to win – 1 day boat Rental and 1 overnight stay plus $100 dinner certificate $5 a ticket! Contact the Chestertown Rotary to enter!

Hosted by Forest Lake Camp, Town of Chester, Chestertown Rotary and North Warren Chamber of Commerce. Haunted House Maze Twice the size as the previous year! Spooky Characters, Scavenger Hunt, Free Admission and Refreshments for all ages!

Scarecrows Among Us- Scarecrow contest in Chestertown to be displayed on the Town Hall front lawn!

Contest is open to all ages, classroom entries, individuals, and groups. Each group or individual can only enter one time. Free to Enter! Entry Form available at North Warren Chamber on Commerce, Stephenson Lumber or Chester Town Clerk’s Office. Entry Forms Due by October 11th. Setup October 19th 10am-2pm. Car Hop – Every Thursday alternating between The Crossroads and The Hub. Upcoming Summer Music Night and Car Hop at The Crossroads is Thursday August 22nd at 6pm at The Crossroads ice cream, beer tasting, classic cars and music!

New Electronic Sign needed outside of the North Warren Chamber of Commerce– North Warren Chamber of Commerce and Tri-Lakes to team up in raising the funds for a new sign. Working on raising funds through raffle and possible upcoming fundraising events. Chestertown Rotary to Donate also to support.

Fraud Prevention Seminar-Hosting an event in the near future to teach the community about possible fraud and how to prevent it as businesses and consumers.

Town of Chester Historical Society– Hosted a lecture by Melanie Sawyer August 14 at 7pm. Co-Founder of the Thunderhark Living History School, she is gave a lecture about this agricultural natural history in the Town of Chester.

The BrantLaker– David Burque, editor of The Brant Laker attended to announce that “The BrantLaker,” a semi-annual publication sponsored by the Brant Lake Association, has been awarded first place for “Best Newsletter” by the New York State Federation of Lake Associations. Those looking to publish Winter events by businesses and the local community can contact David Burque by Mid- October of 2024 to have it published in the next issue. [email protected]
