St Patrick’s Day Parade: Valiant effort on the committee’s part but the weather just didn’t cooperate this year…. Unfortunately most of our events are weather dependent and we usually make out OK, but thanks for all who tried to make it happen!
Benefit Concert for North Country Ministry and Helpers Fund: May 22nd at the Chester Town Hall auditorium. Free concert with basket raffles and the North Country Jazz Project playing with area students from North Warren and surrounding schools! 3PM Raffle, Concert begins at 4PM. Volunteers are needed to bring posters to area businesses so let Al know if you can help.
An Adirondack Woof Stock and Woodstock on the Mill Pond June 4th-5th: There will be a meeting Wednesday, April 13th at 5:30 PM at the Panther Mt. Pub and volunteers are needed both before the event and the weekend of so if you can help out, please join us!

Chestertown Farmer’s Market: Is ready to rock! Rosemary Rounds (Roe) will be Market Manager this year and opening day is June15th running through the end of September.
Chestertown Historical Society: Sponsoring a photo exhibition August 20-21 of the works of Mr. Sumi (1930’s-1970) who chronicled the life of our area. Photos will be on display in the town hall and will be available for purchase. Over 30,000 photos plus negatives have been found and volunteers are needed to help digitalize many of these so if you can help out get in touch with the Historical Society.
Local resident, teacher and coach Bernie McCann has written a book on his life, “Visitors to My Street”, which is a series of vignettes about his life in Lackawanna, New York, from 1947 to 1961—told by the author as he reflects on his experiences as a young boy. Chamber of Commerce: Meeting mixer last week was a success and they will be planning more in the future. VIP dinner will be May 26th at Forest Lake Camp.

American Recovery Plan Act (ARPA) to help with issues resulting from Covid. Warren County was granted over $12 Million Dollars and the Town of Horicon is receiving $137,000 so if any businesses or organizations in the town had diminished revenue impact because of Covid, there will be a meeting on April 13th at 6PM at the Horicon Town Hall for info!
