• GREAT ATTENDANCE at today’s meeting! A reminder that YOU DON ‘T HAVE TO BE A BUSINESS OWNER TO ATTEND and we’re contemplating changing our name to The TRI-LAKES COMMUNITY ALLIANCE to spur more involvement from community members from both Chestertown and Horicon. We organize a few events each year which separate smaller committees handle (St. Pat’s Parade, An Adirondack Woof Stock, Wood Stock Revisited on the Mill Pond, Rum Runners, Taste of the Tri-Lakes, Theatre performances) and otherwise our monthly meetings are spent with updates on area businesses & town/county news. Very informal, no dues or commitments (come when you can!), great coffee & donuts, and we would really like to see more people to attend…. we promise the meeting lasts only one hour so stop by and see what we’re all about! We now meet the 2nd Friday of each month at 9AM and would love to have you join us!
• TLBA officers met with NW Chamber of Commerce & our local supervisors to ask for more assistance/volunteers for our events.
• Brant Lake Winter Carnival – February 16th. Again, volunteers are needed to ‘man’ the information booth so if you can help out in any way please let us know by contacting [email protected] or [email protected] . Carnival runs from noon to dusk with Outhouse Races around 4PM and fireworks at dusk. $1,000 worth of Outhouse prizes again this year so get your house ready and come join us!
