1. Call to Order and Approval of Agenda

  • Meeting called to order at 5:00 PM by President Don Butler.
  • Attendance confirmed (13 present).

2. Committee & Project Updates

Electronic Bulletin Board:

  • Committee members: Deborah Eves, Don Butler, Randy.
  • Installation is underway; board will be lit and operational by Monday, September 15, 2025.
  • Project funded jointly by the North Warren Chamber of Commerce and the Tri-Lake Community Alliance.

Chestertown Farmers Market:

  • Season concluded on September 10, 2025.
  • Ran for 15 weeks at Chestertown Hall with over 14,000 visitors.

3. Chamber of Commerce Updates

Duck Race:

  • Event will be discontinued this season; will not be held on Columbus Day weekend.

Downhill Derby:

  • Scheduled to continue this winter; further updates to follow.

4. Community Events & Announcements

Chestertown Rotary 5k/10k Race:

  • Scheduled for Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Chestertown Hall.

Forest Lake Camp Haunted House:

  • October 25, 2025, 2:00–6:00 PM.
  • Free community event; sponsorship opportunities available through the North Warren Chamber of Commerce.
  • Sponsors encouraged to contribute; flyer provided.

Scarecrows Among Us Competition:

  • October 11, 2025, 10:00 AM–12:30 PM at Chestertown Hall.
  • Organized in conjunction with the Haunted House event.
  • Registration and sign-up through the North Warren Chamber of Commerce.

Tri-Lake Community Alliance 80’s Dance Party:

  • October 18, 2025, 5:00 PM–? at Green Mansions Golf Course.
  • Activities include DJ, wine-pull fundraiser, trivia, 80’s dance competitions, and “Biggest Hair” contest.

Rotary Grant for Picnic Tables:

  • Announced by Deb Eves.
  • Chestertown Rotary received a grant for wheelchair-accessible picnic tables.
  • Tables will be placed in Horicon, Adirondack, Chester, and Pottersville areas.

Woofstock 2026:

  • Event rescheduled; now to be held in September 2026.

5. Additional Acknowledgments

  • Jeremiah Granger expressed thanks to the Tri-Lake Community Alliance for awarding him a scholarship.

6/6/2025 at the Hub to get the towns perspective on what our area means to us.
They will also be set up at the Chestertown Farmers Market.
 
Efforts to raise money for the Electronic Bulletin Board continue 
Don Butler to meet with town supervisors
Re-up notices on individuals who would like to support this

HUGE THANK YOU to the Rotary Club of Glens Falls for donating their trailer that we have been able to use at events like Woofstock to provide food at these events!

Hoping to still plan a Tri-Lakes Community Fundraiser to include businesses and music to raise money for the Electronic Bulletin Board. 

The Adirondack Foundation Donated a Large Donation in our efforts to purchase a new Electronic Bulletin Board- Emily will send out Donation Letter Thank You

Big Thank you to Garnet Signs for constantly updating and all of the signage for our Community Events! THANKS MOAT!

Attendees: 10 people attending

Meeting Called to Order: 4:30 PM by Don Butler

Purpose of Meeting: To review major community events and discuss related matters.

Agenda Items and Discussion:

  • Brant Lake Winter Carnival:
    • Held on February 15th.
    • Despite the impending storm, the event was considered a success.
    • Plans to hold the carnival again next year on the Saturday of Presidents’ Day weekend.
  • Krazy Downhill Derby:
    • Scheduled for Saturday, February 22nd, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Dynamite Hill.
  • St. Patrick’s Day Parade:
    • Scheduled for March 15th, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
    • Those interested in participating (floats, groups) should contact Christine Remington or email me, Emily Monte.
  • Woofstock:
    • Scheduled for May 31st – June 1st.
    • Committee meetings will be scheduled soon.
  • Chestertown Farmers Market:
    • Will be held every Wednesday at Chestertown Hall, beginning June 18th.
  • Electronic Bulletin Board:
    • Don Butler will begin meetings with town supervisors to raise funds for a new electronic bulletin board.
    • A blanket campaign will be initiated for those who wish to donate.
  • North Warren Chamber of Commerce News:
    • Received a $150,000 grant from the Northern Forest Center.
    • Grant funds will be used for advertising and rebranding efforts to promote tourism and boost the region’s commerce and vitality.

Action Items:

  • Don Butler: Contact town supervisors to raise funds for the electronic bulletin board.
  • Christine Remington: Coordinate participants for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
  • Woofstock Committee: Schedule committee meetings.

Next Meeting:

  • To be determined in May.
