• Taste of the Tri-Lakes Tuesday November 30th with the Rotary Memory Tree Lighting in the center of town from 5:30-7:30. Samples of area restaurants dishes, local choirs will be singing Holiday music complete with bonfires, free s’mores making for the children, and the lighting of the Rotary’s Memory Tree at 6:30.
• Winter Carnival: Tentative date is February 19, 2022
• St. Patrick’s Day Parade: March 12th. Volunteers are needed this year to keep the event active so if you enjoy the parade and festivities that day, please volunteer a few hours of your time.
• There is a Local Toy Drive sponsored by Chestertown American Legion Post 964, Mountain Hardware, Dollar General, the Helpers Fund and “Friends of Santa”. New, unwrapped toys can be dropped of at any of the above until Saturday Dec. 11th.
• TLCA received a nice Thank You note from this year’s North Warren scholarship recipient, Tanner Dunkee.
• An Adirondack Woof Stock and Woodstock on the Mill Pond are back on for 2022!!!!  It was unanimously voted that Randy Berg would build a new lure chasing course as Doggie Fun Zone has not returned our calls, and we know this was a major draw for the event. We’re also hoping to have a band ON THE POND for Saturday nights Woodstock. Event will be held the weekend of June 4th -5th so save the date, tell your friends and get ready to howl!
• It was suggested we have a fund raiser for area families that might be struggling this coming winter. Monies raised would be given to the Helper’s fund, North Country Ministries or the North Country Hardship fund for distribution.  Anyone with ideas or to help organize such an event, please email Al at ([email protected]).
• Supervisor Leggett discussed Occupancy Tax changes in the county with less monies being given to the individual Towns and larger requests now needed to be presented at the County level.

Ø  Great to see everyone at the meeting and a huge thanks to the Panther Mt. Pub for allowing us to have our meetings there as in the past!!!!

Ø  Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony will be held in Chestertown on Monday,  May 31. Legion Riders, Veterans riding in vehicles, Fire Trucks from the community will line-up  at the Chestertown Fire House at 10:15 a.m.  with departure to Rt 9 at 10:45 a.m. Marchers and Floats (organizations, families, business sponsored vehicles) line-up at 10:15 a.m.  on Church Street, to  join (march/drive) ahead of fire trucks at approx. 10:50 a.m. Parade Route: From Bullhouse via Church street to Chestertown Municipal Center on Route 9. Ceremony at the Veterans Memorial  at 11:00 a.m. We are hoping to have a great turn-out as our community practices a Common-Sense Approach for marchers and viewers to Honor our Fallen Heroes. The last community parade was for St Patrick’s Day on March 14 2020 as the Pandemic was taking hold of the many changes we have experienced in our daily lives. This parade is a way of honoring our veterans, and celebrating the awakening of our community and country this summer. •  Brant Lake Winter Carnival: was February 15th and was a huge success. More info to follow after wrap up meeting but big thanks to Town of Horicon and Jimbo’s for their contributions. Also thanks to Mountain Hardware for the outhouse trophies, Supervisor Leggett and Councilman Olson for judging the Fry Pan Toss, Scott Hayes for the free firewood, Jess Mead for the new flyer design and all the volunteers who manned the info desk for us! Also Kudos to the Out House Winners who donated  or a portion of their winnings to the Scott Remington Spinal Cord Research: 1st place Phoenix returned $200, 2nd place Etain returned $300 and People’s choice Etain  returned $100… gotta love this town!

• Downhill Derby: February 22nd – get your sleds ready!!! Looks like it’s going to be a great weekend so come out for some winter fun! Schedule attached and once again, if you can volunteer even for an hour or so let Julia know!
