Chestertown Farmer’s Market: Over 1,100 people came through the gate last week. Committee members met with supervisor Craig Leggett to discuss ways to deal with the traffic/parking problem (but isn’t this a good problem to have!). No Parking signs will be posted on the driveways of the town hall & we ask everyone to obey the No Parking signs on Main Street, don’t park on the grass and use the crosswalks. Open every Wednesday from 10AM – 2PM!
Car Hops: Unfortunately the weather hasn’t been cooperating but the Car Hops are held every 1st Friday of the month at the Panther Mt. Inn and every 3rd Friday at The Hub. A fun night for car lovers and families so check it out!

Adirondack Shindig: Saturday Aug. 12th in the village of Adirondack! Town wide yard sale during the day – music and dancing in the streets at night (5-8PM). Vendor space is free and there’s room for more * call #494-4430 or #494-2191 for info!

First Wilderness is doing a Trail of the Week during our summer months and this week it’s Meade Mountain and Beckman Mountain Trail in Chestertown, allowing hikers to knock out two peaks with one short hike and enjoy some amazing views in the process. Local Economic Development Initiative: Craig Leggett expressed thanks for Wayne LaMothe of First Wilderness and our local civic organizations (NW Chamber & the TLBA) for their efforts with revitalizing our town.
