Benefit Concert for the TLBA: Huge THANK YOU to all the businesses who sold tickets or donated to our fundraiser by buying the tickets and giving them away!!! The events the TLBA organizes benefits all of us in business and we really appreciate you ‘giving back’ in this small way to enable us to continue to function!
Horicon Day: August 26th 5PM. Sponsored by the Horicon Fire Department, enjoy an evening of good ole’ fashion fun around the Mill Pond in Brant Lake! Bob & Gert Newton (with over 109 years of service between the two of them!!) will be honored, paddle board demos in the pond (by The Crossroads), food served by the Fire department (free), vendors (still room for more) and some special events reminiscent of days of old! Fireworks at dusk and outdoor concert with the 1979 Band and Danny Schultz (separate venue) at the Hub that evening!
Rum Runners Weekend: September 15th-17th. We’re getting geared up again for our blast into the past! Anyone who can help us find or run a photo booth forSaturday night please let us know!
Tentative Schedule of Events:
THURSDAY: 1920’S Trivia Night at the Bull House – 7PM
FRIDAY: Follow the Bootleggers as they evade the police! Starts at the Hub at 4:30 and travels to OP Fredericks (5:30), The Odd Duck (6:30), The Bull House (7:30) and ends at the “P”.
SATURDAY:
*Bootleggers Parade – starts at noon and travels through Chestertown ending at the Town Hall (a few shoot-outs along the way so make sure you check this out!)
*USO show at the Town Hall – opens at 11AM to buy raffle tickets, 1PM Show, 1:45 Raffle drawing
*Illusionist Jonathan Phillips performs at the Carol Theatre 4PM followed by restaurant specials throughout town.
*Speakeasy, Jazz Band, Charleston Contests at the Panther Mountain Pub 7PM – ?????
Chestertown Farmer’s Market: Open through September 20th!
Carol Theater: Lots of new shows planned for next year! A Circus? An Irish Play-off? And a big THANK YOU to Al & Eleanor Tolomeo and Randy & Patty Berg for all their hard work this summer in providing us with some great live entertainment!
Car Hops: Thank you to Camp Read for sponsoring the last Car Hop at The Hub!

*Sept. 2nd: 9AM – 3PM. Yard Sale to benefit The Helpers Fund, sponsored by SonRise Lutheran Church & Hosted by Christ Church Episcopal – Route 9 in Pottersville.
*Sept. 6th: 9AM General Meeting – all are welcome – New membership drive: Join now and get remainder of this year and all of next year for one price!
*Sept. 30th: Town Wide Garage Sale – Chamber will be doing a map so if you want to be included contact Deb at the Chamber
*Oct. 7th: Brant Lake Duck Race
*Oct. 11th: Health Insurance Seminar & Open House at the Chamber 9AM-4PM
