Brant Lake Winter Carnival: February 25, 2017:
Advertising space is still available for sides of the Human Foosball court that will be used at the Carnivals, Woof Stock and available for any other groups who want to borrow it. We’ll be putting 2 ads on each 4×8 plywood ‘side’, both inside and out. Garnet signs will copy your logo or ad onto a sign we can stick on the court. We have +/- 40 openings – cost to advertise is $50 (Garnet signs is charging us $20 each to make the signs) so the remainder will help offset cost of building the court, goal cages, paint, etc….. If you want to be included, just send your logo or what you want on your sign (jpg format or let me know if Garnet signs has your design) to [email protected] and we’ll take care of the rest!!!
Payment can be sent to TLBA – PO Box 56 – Chestertown, NY 12817
We need volunteers (at least two per shift 11AM – 4PM) to sit in one hour segments at the info table at the Carnival to sign teams up for the Out House Races and have people sign disclosures for any athletic events they’ll be participating in. If you can give us an hour and help us out it would really be appreciated!!!! A few people to help out on Rte 8 with parking are also needed…
Boy Scouts will be selling hamburgers & hotdogs (provided by the TLBA) on the ice
Brant Lake Fishing Tournament had 135 entrants and donated $1,000 each to North Warren and Rennesaeler Schools. Soup sales brought in $45.
It was voted to rent a storage unit from Doug O’Brien who gave us a great break on his monthly rate! The Foosball Court and all the bins we have in the attic of the Panther Mt Inn can now be stored there so we don’t have to keep hauling ‘stuff’ (think Rum Runners, Woof Stock, Taste of the Tri-Lakes, St. Patrick’s Day Parade, signs, road cones,) up three flights of stairs!!!! If you’ve ever made the trip to the attic you’ll understand !!!!
St. Patricks’ Day Parade: March 11, 2017 – There will be meetings February 22nd, March 1st and March 8th at 5PM at the Panther so if you can help out on the committee please try to attend! Committee will also be looking into an old New England tradition of presenting a Gold Cane to the oldest member of the community, and again, anyone willing to take the reigns on this just let us know!
Letter to the Town – Don and Barbara Thomas will compose a letter to the Town of Chester in defensive of the St. Patrick’s Day parade being held in the same manner as years past.
