Electronic Bulletin Board: Sign is up and should be electrified this week!!! To have your NON-PROFIT event on the sign, contact the Chamber at #494-2722. There will be 3-4 rotating screens so take advantage of this addition to our community! The TLBA will be hosting a Thank You event for all companies and groups who donated to the Electronic Sign. Event will be held at The Bull House in Chestertown – date to be determined.
Retirement Party for Fred Monroe: The Chester Town Board, NW Chamber of Commerce & the TLBA will be organizing a retirement party for Fred Monroe this coming Friday on January 29th at Jimbos to recognize all the work Fred has done for our community over the many years he has been in office!
Brant Lake Fishing Tournament: January 30th: The 5th annual Bob Whitford Scholarship ice fishing tournament will be held on January 30th at Brant Lake. To date they have given away $4,000 to a Rensselaer High School Student in Bob’s Name. The cost of the tournament is $20.00. If you don’t fish they have 50/50 tickets available or you can make a cash donation..to sign up you can get you tickets at Crossroads or the Panther Mountain Pub

Historical Society & Town of Horicon Pot Luck Dinner & Hysterical Comedy Clips: January 30th at 4PM at the Horicon Town Hall. Free admission but please call Maryann Hill at #494-2056 to let them know if you are attending and what you are bringing for dinner! And let them know if you need a ride!!!
Downhill Derby: February 13th. A Prince and Princess will be nominated via a lottery the day of the Derby for those ages 18 and under so make sure you enter if you want to win. The Prince and Princess will join Brant Lake Winter Carnival’s King & Queen on the 20th. 9 AM sign in for all events and the race starts around noon. Call the Chamber at 518-494-2722 for more info!
Brant Lake Winter Carnival: February 20th. Good to go!! Voting jars are out for a competition for the King and Queen, with businesses and organizations nominating their representatives and getting $1 votes for their pair. Entrants must be 18 or older – Vintage Snowmobile Display, Lake Placid Curling Club, Fry Pan Toss Competition, Broom Ball Contests and the famous Out House Races are again included with a great firework display at dusk so mark your calendars!

Ellsworth Adirondack Historical Library: Grand Opening and Dedication on March 12th at 3PM at the NW Central School. This library will be open to the public and is a great addition to our community!
Bike Ride: May 20th . First meeting is February 5th at 10AM after the TLBA meeting for anyone wanting to help out!
An Adirondack Woof Stock: Father’s Day Weekend – June 18-19. PLUS MORE!!!! Save the date and pass the word!
Word of Life: Representatives of the Word of Life expressed an interest in getting involved with the TLBA and offered climbing walls, trampolines etc. that they could bring to our events, as well as more volunteers!!!
Sportsman’s Weekend: New Name!!! Outdoor Live!!! September 23,24,25. Name of this weekend long event was changed to open up more venues for all Outdoors Men & Women!!!!
