Car Hop: The Hub had 24 cars last week! Great turnout!!! Car Hops are held the 1st Friday of the month at the Panther Mt. Inn and the 3rd Friday of the month at The Hub beginning around 5 PM. The Hub & Gallo Realty have sponsored the trophies recently but trophy sponsors are still needed – $40 to have your business donate these awards for each event. We also need someone to do the 50/50 raffles so anyone willing to give an hour of their time would be appreciated!

Adirondack Shin-Dig: Saturday August 13th – 3rd Annual! This group has put together enough monies to rehab the 1881 Adirondack Church to become the Horicon Museum Annex!!! The Shin-Dig is a community based event with bands, food and vendors where they close the streets for dancing and socializing! During the day, stop by the 17th Annual Adirondack Yard Sale for some great deals! Yard Sale 9AM – 2PM. Shin-Dig 5PM – 8PM.
Horicon Fireworks: August 20th at Horicon Day!
Chestertown Fireworks: The Chestertown Summerfest fireworks display scheduled for early in July has been changed to August 25th with a concert by The Beatles (recently performing at the Carol Theatre) behind the Chester Town Hall. Bring your blankets and enjoy an outdoor concert and fireworks under the stars! Firework display to begin around 9:30.
Casino Night: Will be held 8PM Friday night (Sept. 16th) of Rum Runners Weekend so start thinking about what you’re going to wear 🙂 !!! Georgie Wonders Big Band will be playing Saturday afternoon at 3:30 with Speak-Easy, Jazz and Charleston contests at the Panther Mt. Pub that evening. Restaurant specials throughout town all weekend so Save the Date and pass the word!!!!! Anyone interested in helping on the committee please let us know!
Woof Stock – Tee shirt monies are still due from a few local businesses so please send your check ($100) to TLBA, PO Box 56, Chestertown 12817 asap so we can close the books on this event for this year.
Outdoor Live: September 23,24,25 – Rifle, pistol & archery training, Chainsaw cutting demos, Bow & Arrow shooting and much more is being planned. Rumor has it Big Foot might also be making an appearance so mark your calendars!
Chestertown Farmers Market: Every Wednesday 10AM – 2PM from now until mid-Sept – market is averaging over 1,000 people a day !!!!
