Election of Officers: All positions were voted upon by the members present and passed with a 100% vote: President: Don Butler, Vice President: Al Tolomeo, Treasurer: Randy Berg, Secretary: Cindy Mead.
Board of Directors: Greg Beckler, Mary Jane Dower, Linda Muench, JoAnn Nick, Helena Robbins. Brandon Himoff stepped down and Debra Eves was voted in.
Brant Lake Winter Carnival: February 24, 2018 – Noon to Dusk. Horse Drawn Sleigh rides by Adirondack Carriage All day!!! We need some volunteers to take one hour shifts at the Main info Booth so if you can help us out please let me know!

***Looking for some vintage snowmobiles to ride in a parade before the Outhouse races.
***Anyone wanting to enter an Out House in the race this year just have your house on the lake by 1PM and register on site. $25 registration fee. Outhouse prize moneys will again total over $1,000 so get your house ready!
***Broomball Tournaments, Human Foosball Court Competitions, Fry Pan Toss, Snow Shoe Races, sledding hill, skating (bring your own sleds, skates & snowshoes),and fireworks at Dusk! Fun Day for the whole family!
Annual Bob “Wimpy” Whitford Ice Fishing Tournament on Brant Lake had 115 people sign up and was a great success with scholarships going to Rensselaer and North Warren Schools.
Downtown Derby: February 17th. The Wednesday from 6pm – 8pm before there will be an opportunity at the YMCA for kids of all ages to build a less elaborate cardboard sled! Materials and snacks will be provided.
Town Banners: Committee working on designs and once they’re approved by both towns we’ll send them out for you to review and purchase. Cost will be $150 per banner and they’ll be available for all four towns.
St. Patrick’s Day Parade: March 17th! Barb & Wayne Thomas will chair the committee. We need more music so anyone who can help out or has ideas please let us know!
Scott Remington Spinal Cord Benefit: March 24th. Raffle tickets for the $3,500 trip are available at local businesses throughout the towns.
An Adirondack Woof Stock: June 2-3. Dock Dogs, Disc Dogs, music, food and some new events – Barn Hunt and Fly Ball for your dog to try!!!! Woof Woof….
Sled Making for the Downhill Derby: Tuesday February 13th from 6pm-8pm at the YMCA Adirondack Center to make your own cardboard sled! Families invited, all supplies included and water and snacks provided! Contact the YMCA at 518-494-4422 or [email protected] for more info!
St. Patrick’s Day Parade: March 17th. New Blarney Stone for you to kiss this year! Next meeting is March 1st and volunteers are needed, as well as bands, music venues to participate in the Parade! Contact Barb Thomas if you can help out!
Cabin Fever Benefit: for the Adirondack Volunteer Firefighters Benevolent Association at the Panther Mt. Pub. Raffle baskets and/or donations are needed so help out if you can. (If you’re on Amazon Prime Smile you can also choose the AVFBA as your charity of choice! Easy way to give locally!). Brant Lake Mountain Bike Park: Occupancy tax funding is being reviewed by the Town of Horicon for a new mountain bike trail system to be installed at The Hub. This sport is drawing people from all parts of the northeast and would be a great addition to our town!
