Annual Bob “Wimpy” Whitford Ice Fishing Tournament on Brant Lake is scheduled for Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 8am – 3pm. Cost of tournament is $20, and proceeds go towards a scholarship in Bobby’s name.
Brant Lake Winter Carnival: February 24,2018 – Noon to Dusk. There will be free Horse Drawn Sleigh rides by Adirondack Carriage and we’re looking for some vintage snowmobiles to ride in a parade before the Outhouse races. Anyone wanting to enter an Out House in the race this year just have your house on the lake by 1PM and register on site. Outhouse prize moneys will again total over $1,000 so get your house ready! Ball Tournaments, Human Foosball Court Competitions, Fry Pan Toss, Snow Shoe Races, sledding hill (bring your own sleds),skating and fireworks at Dusk! Fun Day for the whole family!
Downhill Derby: Derby is on February 17th. There will be an opportunity at the YMCA for kids of all ages to build a less elaborate cardboard sled! Materials and snacks will be provided. The free Make your Own Cardboard Sled at the YMCA is on Tuesday February 13th from 6pm -8pm
Town Banners: Committee is choosing 8 designs representing activities in our area and choices will be out soon – Price is $150, payable directly to Garnet Signs, and as the last ones lasted 5+ years this is a great bang for your buck for advertising your business and supporting our local towns. Banners will be available for Chestertown, Pottersville, Brant Lake and Pottersville. You’ll be able to buy one for as many towns as you like!

Grant Writing Presentation: February 5th at 6PM at North Warren School Library sponsored by the PTO.
Basket Raffle: Feb. 17th for a Brant Lake woman needing financial assistance for medical issues.
St. Patrick’s Day Parade: March 17th! Barb & Wayne Thomas will chair the committee. We need more music so anyone who can help out or has ideas please let us know!
Scott Remington Spinal Cord Benefit: March 24th. Raffle tickets for the $3,500 trip are available at local businesses throughout the towns.
An Adirondack Woof Stock: June 2-3. We’re looking for some new entertainment (magicians, animal acts, etc.) and we’d like to have a photographer set up a “Dog House” where photos of people with their dogs could be photographed. We also have some great ideas for fund raisers for any groups or school clubs who would like to make some extra money ( a “Dog Wash”, “Penny Treat” booth (instead of penny candy)…???) Set up is free for any non-profits.
Camp 928: June 16th – for Porsche 928 cars – last year 22 cars from all parts of the country attended and more are expected this year!
