Pedal to Plate: May 20th: Adirondack area bike ride, “Pedal to Plate,” a 55-mile culinary tour of the North Country circling three scenic lakes and traveling through picturesque Adirondack hamlets, stopping at local eateries on route.

Woofstock Revisited on the Mill Pond: June 3: 6PM-11PM at the Hub with free pontoon boat rides on the Mill by EZ Marine and FIREWORKS AT DUSK!!!! Vendors, live music, food & glow in the dark beach balls – family friendly!
Scholarship Committee: A $500 scholarship will be awarded to a deserving graduating Senior of North Warren for community involvement in our events.
Rack Cards: Cost of these cards was split 50/50 with the North Warren Chamber and the TLBA. Cards are out and we urge you to distribute them freely!
Porsche 928 Gala: June 17: +/- 40 cars have signed up and will be on display on the front lawn of the Chester Municipal Center 3PM. There will also be a Car Hop at the Panther Mt. Inn that Friday night. More info can be found at http://camp928.com or call Curt Austin.
Economic Development Initiative: Supervisor Craig Leggett has spearheaded an open group to discuss the future of Chestertown. Issues such as broadband, sprucing up Main St., and town sewers have been discussed and there will be future meetings to follow up on these ideas. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.
North Creek Business Alliance: Will be revitalizing their Car Shows on alternate Fridays as ours (first Friday of the month at the Panther Mt. Inn / thirdFriday of the month at The Hub) and share in joint advertising. It was discussed to change the weekly ‘awards’ from trophies to something else… any ideas, let us know!
More news from North Creek: The Saratoga – North Creek train schedule has gone from 5 days a week to two but North Creek as a new Pedal Car activity starting soon. The one hour ‘ride’ starts at North River and heads north with a guide in the front and rear. Adirondack Volunteer Firefighters Benevolent Association: Mike Turrano gave a presentation on a group that is being formed in our area and is open to all volunteer fire fighters throughout the North Country. They are asking for you to help our “local heros” by offering a discount for your services and or make a donation to help the cause. Ski Museum: John Nick has accepted a position as Trustee for a new ski museum in our area. Betty Little is firmly behind this venture and we’ll keep all posted on the progress
