An Adirondack Woof Stock: June 2-3. Geared up and ready to go! Thank you to all our T-Shirt sponsors and to The BullHouse, OP Fredericks, Panther Mt. Inn and the Pine Tree Motel for donating free room or $50 gift card to be raffled off on local radio stations! Dog Docks, Barn Hunt, K9 Demos, Blessing of the Animals, food & music all day, both days and some new vendors! Pedal to Plate: May 19: Adirondack area bike ride, “Pedal to Plate,” a 55-mile culinary tour of the North Country circling three scenic lakes and traveling through picturesque Adirondack hamlets. Travels from The Hub in Brant Lake and circles Schroon Lake. $40 entry fee if preregistered; $50 if signed up the day of the event. Sign up is at http://Bikereg.com/F2F 
Chamber of Commerce VIP Dinner: May 17th @ Jimbos. $30. Contact the Chamber for info.
An Adirondack Woof Stock: June 2-3. T-Shirt sponsorships are available for $125 and again, your support is appreciated! Last year the TLBA came out $339 in the black for this event so your support in T-Shirt sponsorships is greatly needed!!! And thank you to the Town of Chester for their $6,000 Occupancy Tax grant! $1,500 was also received from the Town of Horicon ($2,000 was requested as in past years) for Woof Stock on the Mill Pond being held that Saturday night (featuring the STONY CREEK BAND!!!) and this too is appreciated, as we moved the Saturday night festivities to Horicon to share in the weekend long festivities that puts “Heads in Beds” for the weekend. Woof Woof….
Warren County Tourism: JoAnne Connolly gave a presentation on how Warren County & Lake George expand their advertising to include surrounding towns. 21 people attended this week’s meeting and we’d like to thank you all for getting involved, even a little bit, or even if you just come to listen! These meetings are fun and informative, AND THEY ONLY LAST ONE HOUR, GUARANTEED!!!!

When folks complain or make suggestions about the banner choices, or venues for events, or anything else the TLBA does for the community, the way your voice will be heard is if you take an hour out of your month and attend a meeting. We’re all busy, but the free coffee & donuts are great and it’s a very low key and enjoyable way to keep up with events & help out our communities!

Banners for Town Poles: Orders are coming in fast and if you want a banner send Cindy your choice and then get your design/logo to Garnet signs with check to Garnet signs for $160.50 to ensure your banner is completed and can be up by Memorial Day. We have +/- 50 orders in so far for all 4 towns. The Red Chair is currently unavailable in Brant Lake, Adirondack & Chestertown as the ‘first come, first serve’ promoted a lot of requests for those and not as many as the others….  The purpose of these banners is to ‘dress up’ our towns, show people what is available regarding recreational opportunities (this ‘theme’ was decided/agreed upon by both towns and the TLBA committee) and your purchase shows your support for the community.
Horicon Banner Holder: Committee will be meeting with Horicon officials to determine placement of a Town ‘Bulletin Board’ to be installed across from the lower dam to advertise events, in lieu of hanging banners on the bridge. Read more →

Car Hops: Starting in June and running to September! 1st Friday of the month at The Hub, 3rd Friday of the month at The Panther Mt. Inn. Suggested instead of $50 trophy sponsors each week business get together and donate $250 per event to provide live music, have better prizes, etc. like the North Creek Car Shows. Email us your opinion on this!

Banners for Town Poles: Designs have been approved by the committee and after approval is given from the Towns (hopefully this week) we will be sending out info on how to get yours up for this summer. 6-8 designs will be available showing activities in our area (snowmobiling, swimming, bicycling, etc) and they will be available for the Towns of Chester, Brant Lake, Pottersville & Adirondack. Cost is $150 (the previous banners lasted 4 years so it’s a good bang for your buck, plus it enhances the look of our towns) and monies are paid directly to Garnet Signs (The TLBA makes no money on this, we just get it organized as a service to our community).

Carol Theatre: What to look forward to this summer: Professor Louie (who performed at Wood Stock!), Battle of the Saxes, a Jazz singer, 10 piece Chicago Tribute group, Feast of Friends (tribute to The Doors), The Beatles and MORE! Call Al at #518-494-5318 for info.

The March 23, 2018 Meeting of the Tri-Lakes Business Alliance took place at the Panther Mountain Inn, Route 9, Chestertown, New York 12817. The meeting was called to order at 9:02pm by President Don Butler.

All members in attendance introduced each other and their individual organizations.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade- President Butler stated that about 400 people attended this year’s event. There were performances at local restaurants that brought in patrons. A question from the floor by Helena Robbins asked why all restaurants were not able to participate in having performers. President Butler stated that it was a good parade, trophies will be added next year and we need to be sure that we are getting pictures at events like this, everyone was in agreement.
