Ø  Farmer’s Market is having a great season – Open every Wednesday from 10AM to 2PM – Live music weekly!

Ø  Carol Theatre will be open with live shows on August 13th and September 17th. Help is needed with concession stands, ticket sales, etc. so if you can help out, contact Vanessa Hutton at [email protected] 

Ø  Chamber of Commerce has new maps out highlighting the ‘things to do’ in our community

Ø  Mike Geraci introduced himself as he will be taking over the Horicon Supervisor position – he has been in Public Service as a police officer, Chief of Police and EMS in the Colonie area and we welcome him to his new position!

Ø  Matt Simpson, our Congressional Representative, also spoke to the group and discussed a new incentive for businesses to buy locally produced products.

Ø  A Dog Park was going to be up for discussion on the Chester Town Board meeting on July 13th – no update at this time

Ø  Woodstock on the Mill Pond – even though we could not have “An Adirondack Woof Stock” this year (but it will be back in June 2022!), we’d like to have a Woodstock on the Mill Pond in Brant Lake (to celebrate the ’70’s) on a Friday or Saturday night sometime in the beginning of September. Ø  Bee’s Mercantile – new store in Brant Lake – check it out for general essentials plus a whole lot more!

Ø  Gore Mountain will be having Festivals on August 15th and September 19th and Gondola rides and Mountain Biking are open Thursdays thru Sundays. The Harvest ‘non-festival’ will be held October 9th and 10th so mark your calendars!

Ø  Scott Remington Family & Friends will be having a Golf Tournament (in lieu of the yearly Benefit) on July 31st at Green Mansions. $15 Dinner tickets for anyone who wants to just stop by for dinner – Cash Bar – Call Scott at 518-494-7740 for info and/or to sign up your team!
