General Board Meeting Minutes: October 16, 2015
Golf Outing: Good tournament for the TLBA… Thank you to all who participated, donated and helped organize the event and a big thanks to Doug O’Brien for chairing this committee!! Plans are to have the tourney earlier next year and John MacMillan has volunteered to chair!
Budget Requests: Submitted to both the Town of Chester and the Town of Horicon. Without their support we could not have the activities (Brant Lake Winter Carnival, St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Adirondack Woof Stock, Farmer’s Market and Rum Runners Weekend) we organize and their support is greatly appreciated!
Town Workers: To thank the Town workers for all their help during the year, the TLBA will be treating them to lunch with Horicon employees going to the Lazy Moose and Chestertown employees going to Main St. Ice Cream Parlor on a pre-determined day in the near future.
Taste of the Tri-Lakes: Scheduled for the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving (December 1st) to coincide with the Rotary Memory Tree Lighting in the center of town. Looking for restaurant participants, music & a youth group to help make smores so get in touch if you’d like to join us! Generators are ready to go and Corey from NW School will organize the chorus.
Electronic Sign: Excavator, metal pole, electric wiring and concrete work have been donated by Northwoods Concrete, MacMillen Construction & Saratoga Bridge and hopefully the sign will be put up this fall! Sign will display non-profit events in our community and all non-profit organizations will be able to post their upcoming events.
Brant Lake Winter Carnival: February 20th at Jimbo’s on the Point – Brandon Himoff will chair the committee and meetings will start soon.
St. Patrick’s Day Parade: Scheduled for March 12th. Someone to Chair this committee is needed – Don Butler will co-chair but a volunteer is needed to help organize this event. There is a great committee in place but someone is needed to step up to the plate and oversee the event…PLEASE let us know if you’re willing to help!
New Business Invitations: Invitations to new businesses in town will be sent out inviting them to join the TLBA and letting them know what we’re all about.
Election: General Discussion was held on General Laws of Election and Board Members were elected. An election will be held every January and we will be meeting with Rob Simon to go over our By-Laws.

Adirondack Woof Stock: Hudson Valley Dock Dogs sent a contract locking them in for Father’s Day Weekend 2016 & 2017 and it was approved to send a $1,000 deposit for 2016.
Bike Ride: The Hub is planning a 60-70 mile bike weekend with large and small ‘loops’ for May 20th. Ideas are needed – possibly tie in local restaurants by having a Poker Run type ride? Taste of the Tri-Lakes On The Road? Shot Gun Start? Again, volunteers are needed to help plan this event which will be a joint NW Chamber of Commerce and TLBA venture.
Town of Chester Beautification Committee: Linda Muench has done most of the work on this in the past (planting town flower pots, etc) but more monies might be available (Town Street lights?). Fred Holman and Cindy Mead volunteered to help with this committee.
