General Board Meeting Minutes: June 26, 2014

• APAC: THE BEATLES ARE COMING TO CHESTERTOWN! “Across the Pond”, the band, is a live tribute to the Beatles music of the 1960’s, “performing their hearts out, night after hard day’s night”. The band consists of four seasoned musicians and songwriters who, along with the historic setting of the theatre, will bring you back in time and guarantee a memorable evening for all ages. Tickets can be purchased in advance at The Bull House, Main Street Ice Cream Parlor, The Panther Mountain Pub or at the door the night of the performance. Performance is scheduled for Wednesday July 9th at 7 PM. Tickets are $10. Crandall Library has donated a Baby Grand piano for APAC to use at the Carol Theatre and ‘seat covers’ have been ordered and are being purchased by theatre owner Bob Swan (Thanks Bob!!!) Upcoming events include Georgie Wonders 18 piece orchestra on July 19th and get ready to enjoy a performance by Laura Roth, a World-Class Entertainer, Full-Time Professional Singer, Actress and Comedienne on August 2nd.
• Music on Main Street: July 10: Celtic Band, July 24: Stony Creek Band, August 7: S.L. Smith Band, August 21: Master Cylinders. All concerts are free to the public and will be held on the front lawn of the Chester Town Hall from 5:00 to 8:30 PM.

General Board Meeting Minutes: May 30, 2014

• Car Hop: Next one is June 13^th @ 5 PM at the Panther Mt. Inn.
• Craft Brew Fest: May 31^st, 5 PM to 8 PM at the Panther Mt. Inn to benefit the TLBA and the scholarship to be given to a graduating North Warren senior. Food will be donated by the Inn at their cost. $25 admission.
• APAC: The Adirondack Performing Arts Council will be co-sponsoring a Live Jazz Webcast from Lincoln Center on June 6^th – Doors open at 6:30 with Clay Man (experimental jazz rock), a 5 piece band from Burlington, VT. at 7 PM and the live webcast beginning at 8 PM. Admission is free. The Warren County Ramblers , an Adirondack Blue Grass group, will be coming Wednesday, June 18 at 6:30 pm at the Carol Theater. Admission is $10 and help is needed to sell tickets & candy and help clean up afterward. Anyone able to help out should call Al Tolomeo at #494-5318.
  Al and Fred Holman of The Art in Chestertown, from the North Country Arts Center went over a meeting they had to put APAC under the NCAC so it could be a 501-C nonprofit organization. Brandon will be adding another page to the TLBA website calendar to advertise upcoming events and we’d like to remind you all to refer to this calendar at https://trilakesalliance.com for everything that’s happening in our tri-lake area! The next general APAC meeting will be Thursday, June 5^th, 10 AM at Gallo Realty.

General Board Meeting Minutes: May 2, 2014

• Car Hop: Friday, May 9^th beginning at 5 PM at the Panther Mt. Inn. This month’s trophies were donated by The Crossroads. Vintage Car owners and spectators are all welcome to attend – no entry fees!
• ATV Ride to Benefit The Helpers Fund: Saturday May 10^th. $20 entry fee includes barbeque at The Tin TeePee afterward. Last ride had 60 – 70 participants and more are expected this year! 11 AM start with registration beginning at 10 AM at the Tin TeePee.
• Carol Theatre: Committee has been formed and events are being scheduled for this summer. The group is the Adirondack Performing Arts Council (APAC) so check out their webpage at http://adkpac.webs.com or find them on Face Book https://www.facebook.com/pages/Adirondack-Performing-Arts-Council/779926848693531?ref=hl and make sure to “Like” and “Share”! There will be an Open House Fund Raiser on May 9^th to correspond with the Car Hop so stop in and check it out! Funds are needed for this project for advertising & theatre electric costs and committee will be sending a letter out to local businesses and individuals for donations to get them started. Performers will be paid by a portion of ticket sales. The Carol Theatre building is also officially for sale, and anyone interested in more information should contact Cindy Mead at Gallo Realty.
