Car Hops: Starting in June and running to September! 1st Friday of the month at The Hub, 3rd Friday of the month at The Panther Mt. Inn. Suggested instead of $50 trophy sponsors each week business get together and donate $250 per event to provide live music, have better prizes, etc. like the North Creek Car Shows. Banners for Town Poles: Designs have been approved by the committee and after approval is given from the Towns (hopefully this week) we will be sending out info on how to get yours up for this summer. 6-8 designs will be available showing activities in our area (snowmobiling, swimming, bicycling, etc) and they will be available for the Towns of Chester, Brant Lake, Pottersville & Adirondack. Cost is $150 (the previous banners lasted 4 years so it’s a good bang for your buck, plus it enhances the look of our towns) and monies are paid directly to Garnet Signs (The TLBA makes no money on this, we just get it organized as a service to our community).

Tri-Lakes Business Alliance Meeting

March 9, 2018

Meeting called to order at 9 a.m.  Adirondack Firefighters Foundation made $1600 at their fundraiser. 

Spinal Cord Benefit at Jimbo’s broke the ½ million dollar mark last year. 

Downhill Derby had great weather, fantastic crowd, new cardboard box kid’s race was fun, and the People’s Choice award was the Whale with water spout which everyone enjoyed.

Chamber News:  There is a chamber mixer at the Odd Duck tonight from 4-6 p.m. with cash bar.  Lynn and Deb will not be at the parade this year as they’ll be at another event south of us to promote chambers and area.     Economic Development meeting coming in April. 

St. Patrick’s Day Parade – there is more  interest than ever before this year.  Chestertown “Blarney Stone” is in place and each kisser will receive a “Lips” sticker.  We are still looking for a basic weight bench to place in front of it for participants.  Table will be set up to sell sweatshirts and buttons(marking the event).  Jackie is working on getting volunteers from the high school and Jack from the “Y” as well to wear the dog and snowman costumes.  MOAS will be selling burgers and dogs.  Several fire companies will be participating as well as the Odd Duck owners will be in costume meandering up and down the parade route.  Ad.net had a blast on the parade and the Sun had an article on some bagpipers in the area and mentioned our parade.  Read more →

Annual Bob “Wimpy” Whitford Ice Fishing Tournament on Brant Lake is scheduled for Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 8am – 3pm. Cost of tournament is $20, and proceeds go towards a scholarship in Bobby’s name. 

Brant Lake Winter Carnival: February 24,2018 – Noon to Dusk. There will be free Horse Drawn Sleigh rides by Adirondack Carriage and we’re looking for some vintage snowmobiles to ride in a parade before the Outhouse races. Anyone wanting to enter an Out House in the race this year just have your house on the lake by 1PM and register on site. Outhouse prize moneys will again total over $1,000 so get your house ready! Ball Tournaments, Human Foosball Court Competitions, Fry Pan Toss, Snow Shoe Races, sledding hill (bring your own sleds),skating and fireworks at Dusk! Fun Day for the whole family!
