General Board Meeting Minutes: April 3, 2015

ATV Ride: May 30th starting at the Tin TeePee at 10 AM followed by cookout at 5. Donations for door prizes for both events that day are needed so let us know if you can help! Proceeds will benefit new Electric Sign fund (for in front of the NW Chamber building).

Craft Brew Fest: May 30th at the Hub in Brant Lake. 5 PM – 8 PM – $25 admission to benefit new Electric Sign. Saratoga Brewery coming plus others! It was suggested local home brewers also be invited to attend and committee will look into this.

Woof Stock: June 20-21. This is getting bigger than we thought…. we have the Hudson Valley Dock Dogs http://www.hudsonvalleydockdogs.com , Beantown Disc Dogshttps://www.facebook.com/BeantownDiscDogs and Doggie Fun Zone (agility & lure chasing – coming up from Florida!) http://doggiefunzone.com. confirmed at this time, and they’re all doing their own advertising campaign so we think there are going to be an awful lot of people showing up over the 2 day event. North Shore Animal League & Adirondack Save a Stray will be coming with 40 – 50 dogs up for adoption (great time of year to get a puppy!). Wood Stock Revisited concert on Saturday night is set, Blessing of the Animals, Police Canine Demonstration & live music, food, & beer/wine tents are all in place. We still need a pet photographer and volunteers to help with selling t-shirts, etc. so if anyone is interested let us know! Let’s out our tie-die and get ready to travel back to 1969! Read more →

General Board Meeting Minutes: February 20, 2015

• Brant Lake Winter Carnival: Will be held Saturday February 21^st starting at 11 AM and ending with fireworks at Dusk.
• St. Patrick’s Day Parade: March 7^th. 11 people attended the last meeting (Thank You!)….. There have been a lot of confirmations for participation so it should be a great celebration! This year’s Grand Marshalls will be Frank & Mary Jane Dower!!!! Anyone interested in entering a float or participation should contact Donnie at #543-4386.
• Craft BrewFest: May 30^th – Dave & Monica Herrington are chairing this event and plans are moving forward!

General Meeting Minutes: January 23, 2015

Donnie called the meeting to order, welcomed everyone and reminded us of the 5th Annual Bob Whiteford Ice Fishing Tournament to be held on Brant Lake, Saturday, January 24th from 9A to 3P.

• Electronic Bulletin Board Sign: Fred gave us an update on the progress of that committee. There is a problem with positioning the pole that he is working on and will keep us updated. So far donations received for the sign are at $3K.
• Woofstock: Cindy made a deposit to Dock Dogs to lock them in. She will give a full report at the next meeting. Donnie asked for questions from the floor…there were none.
• St. Patrick’s Day Parade: Is scheduled for March 7th. Keith has set up road closing and has the bagpipers lined up. Barb Thomas will co-chair with Donnie. Randy and Dave will serve on the committee. There was discussion regarding sending letters to businesses, banners, bands and notifying Trailways Bus Company. This committee is scheduled to meet on Monday, February 2, at 5PM at the Panther Mountain Inn.
• ATV Rides: Scheduled as follows: May 30th with proceeds earmarked for the Electronic Bulletin Board Sign, July 18th (no designation for proceeds as yet), and September 26th with proceeds earmarked for Toys for Tots.
